Poor Man About Town

Following the toppling of Cuba's Battista regime, the mafia found Las Vegas as its next money laundry. There is only so much a city like Vegas can offer the mafia. The UK, therefore, is rich for the picking. Virtually everyone, police included, is opposed to having these institutions of licensed built in this land. Tessa Jowell, however, puts forward the view that these places will create jobs. This is bullshit, they will only hoover up money to be put into some offshore account, used to pay a bribe or pay off a hefty mortgage somewhere. Whether Ms Jowell is culpable in her husband's affairs is immaterial; what matters is this New Labour friendship with Silvio Berlusconi - who is been indicted for a variety of offences. It seems that Berlusconi has been linked to the Mafia in these indictments. I can recall Blair and family went on holiday to Tuscany as guests of Mr Berlusconi a few years back. Look at the wider issues in relation to the current and you are bound to find a few smoking (Mafia(?) guns!
